Daniel you should be very proud of yourself for this long intense journey you embarked upon. We know it wasn’t always easy, but you DID IT!
Using your own words below:
“I feel like graduating means I should be ok….and logically I know that’s not it. LB was designed to give me tools and connections and a sense of belonging. It checked all those boxes. Part of me still just feels f???ed up.”
You are absolutely right! The program is designed to do just what you said. You did not get the way you are overnight and the journey still continues. However, you now have a new family, friends, community partners and Veteran brothers and sisters, who are right here with you and for you! We could not be more proud of your dedication and commitment to yourself to move forward in healthier ways!
Everyone, please give a big round of applause and messages of continued encouragement to Mr. Daniel Kawakami!
