We love every opportunity we get to learn about other organizations serving Veterans and their families, especially those that honor fallen heroes. Earlier this week, we had visitors stop by to talk to us about the Josh Minton Foundation and Minton Lodge.
American hero Josh Minton graduated from West Point in 2010 and deployed to Afghanistan from 2012-2013 with Bravo Battery, 4th Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team. He was medically retired from the Military in 2018.
Unfortunately, at the age of only 32, after a 5 year battle with incurable neuroendocrine cancer, Josh lost his life. His parents, Bob and Sally, decided to continue Josh’s legacy of service by establishing the Josh Minton Foundation. The foundation manages Minton Lodge, Josh’s property, and opens it to host Service Members, Veterans, caregivers, cancer patients, and cancer survivors for no-cost therapeutic retreats.
It was an honor to hear friends of the family speak so highly of Josh and remember some of his beautiful qualities. We have no doubt he was a phenomenal individual, serving his country and bringing joy to all those who knew him. We are excited to share this resource with our community.
If you are interested in attending a no-cost therapeutic retreat at this beautiful property in southern Ohio, visit brotherson3.org to learn more about this incredible opportunity and to read more of Josh’s inspiring story.
