Recognizing Dia de los Muertos

Today, we join in recognizing Día de los Muertos—a cherished tradition that honors loved ones who have passed. Rooted in ancient Indigenous practices, this holiday combines pre-Columbian rituals with Catholic traditions, evolving into a vibrant celebration of life and remembrance. It is believed that during this day, the spirits of the departed return to visit their families, who welcome them with altars (ofrendas) filled with photos, candles, marigolds, and their favorite foods.
This beautiful tradition reminds us to honor those we’ve lost, celebrate their lives, and cherish the memories that connect us. At Little Blessings, we also reflect on the sacrifices of Veterans and military families, holding space for the loved ones they carry with them.
As we gather in remembrance, we hope your hearts are filled with peace and your memories bring joy.
