Teen Program at Little Blessings

The unique challenges of military kids are not limited to young children. Teens of military families also face distinct struggles such as increased risk for mental health concerns, social emotional functioning challenges, increased parentification and responsibility for younger siblings, intense worry about deployed parents, and more.
Given this information, we developed and launched a program specially designed for teens of military families! Run by a certified Occupational Therapist and an Eagala double certified Equine and Mental Health Specialist, this unique program combines occupational therapy principles with equine assisted activities to increase independence, improve social emotional functioning, and build peer to peer support opportunities for our teens (not to mention, we have a ton of fun)!
This drop-in, no-commitment, NO COST group occurs every other Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 at Little Blessings Ranch! Know a teen that might be interested in learning some great coping skills, making some friends, and spending time with horses? We have group on January 28th!
