Today, we celebrate the resilience, sacrifice, and heroism of every woman who has worn the uniform. Women weren’t officially allowed to serve in the United States Military until 1948. But long before they were granted permission, dating all the way back to the Revolutionary War, they were already fighting; on battlefields, in camps, and behind the scenes, risking everything for a country that didn’t yet recognize their courage. That kind of relentless, unwavering devotion is the truest form of patriotism, and it deserves to be honored.
For generations, women Veterans have faced adversity; breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and proving time and again that their place in history is one of bravery and unshakable resolve. Women Veterans, we are forever grateful for your service and the path you’ve paved for those who follow.
